Product Overview
The Biamp Desono D4 is a 4.5-inch two-way coaxial ceiling loudspeaker, sold as a pair. It is a true coaxial design with a real HF compression driver arranged concentrically within the low-frequency driver. A precisely tapered Tru-Phase high-frequency waveguide provides consistent, wide dispersion up to 16 kHz. It supports 8 ohm or 70 V/100 V operation through a built-in autoformer.
Product Description
The D4 has a wider dispersion than the larger D SERIES models, with the upper frequencies emerging through the center of the low-frequency driver for uniform coverage. Powerful magnetic structures and efficient coils ensure high output and added headroom per power amplifier. Each unit includes the supporting hardware needed for standard installations, including a C-ring supporting plate, tile support bridge rails, grille, paint mask, and cut-out template. Drop-Stop installation-assistant tabs and Twist-Assist face retainer tabs simplify the install. The D4 is ETL listed to UL1480, UL2043, and CSA60065 and is suitable for air-handling spaces. The Community ALC404D amplified loudspeaker controller is recommended. Backed by Biamp's five-year warranty.
