The Biamp Desono D10 is a high-performance 10-inch coaxial ceiling loudspeaker sold as a pair. With a focused dispersion, higher sensitivity, output, and greater LF extension than smaller D Series models, it is a strong fit as an in-ceiling loudspeaker, a coaxial ceiling speaker with compression driver, and a 70V/100V distributed ceiling speaker. A built-in autoformer allows 8-ohm or 70V/100V operation.
Product Description
The D10 is a true coaxial loudspeaker with a real compression driver concentrically arranged so that upper frequencies emerge through the center of the low-frequency driver's magnetic structure and cone via a precisely tapered Tru-Phase high-frequency waveguide. This construction provides consistent, wide dispersion up to 16 kHz, all but eliminating high-frequency narrowing. The D Series offers powerful magnetic structures and efficient coils to ensure high output and more amplifier headroom. Each model includes everything needed for standard installations and has a built-in autoformer for 8-ohm or 70V/100V applications. Spring-loaded Drop-Stop installation tabs support the back can on the included rails and C-ring, and Twist-Assist face retainer tabs speed installation. The D10 is ETL listed to comply with UL1480, UL2043, and CSA60065, making it suitable for use in air handling spaces. Biamp recommends the Community ALC404D amplified loudspeaker controller for this product.
