The Biamp Community R.35-3896 is an EN54-24 certified, triaxial 8-inch Carbon Ring Cone loudspeaker with Community's MultiSource Waveguide technology. It integrates dual mid-range compression drivers and a 1-inch exit HF compression driver into a single coherent source. This makes it a strong fit as a compact high-output install loudspeaker, an EN54-24 voice-alarm loudspeaker, and an indoor/outdoor full-range speaker. The enclosure is available in a black finish.

Fully passive, the R.35-3896 is voiced for flat musical reproduction without EQ and delivers class-leading SPL for a loudspeaker of its size. It meets the need for a high-performance compact loudspeaker for fill and supplementary areas in larger venues and for smaller venues wanting EN54 conformance. With strong voice and music quality, it is suited to indoor and outdoor use across corporate AV, leisure centers, theaters, shopping malls, stadiums, and factories. The high-output, 3-inch voice coil, 8-inch carbon ring cone LF driver uses a flange-less frame design that permits a cone area nearly equivalent to a typical 10-inch driver, resulting in high sensitivity and increased LF extension. The low LF/MR passive crossover point improves mid-range pattern control and eliminates horn coloration in the LF response. A built-in autoformer certifies the loudspeaker for 100V distributed system applications. The weather-resistant enclosure uses high-impact ABS plastic with a modified-trapezoidal shape, hydrophobically treated grille and LF cones, polymer HF and MR diaphragms, and a moisture-sealed crossover.
