Product Overview
The Biamp Community R.25-94TZ is a compact 8-inch two-way, full-range loudspeaker designed for high-quality voice and music reproduction in applications requiring extreme weather resistance. It combines wide frequency response with excellent efficiency and projection. This makes it a strong fit as a weather-resistant install loudspeaker, a 70V/100V distributed audio speaker, and an outdoor fill loudspeaker. A 90° x 40° horn and coaxial mounting provide controlled coverage.
Product Description
The R.25-94TZ has an 8-inch cone LF driver and a 3/4-inch exit HF compression driver with a weather-resistant diaphragm, coupled to a nominal 90° x 40° horn coaxially mounted with the LF driver to minimize interference at crossover. The horn-loaded LF driver delivers better low frequency pattern control, higher sensitivity, higher output, and better vocal projection than typical 8-inch two-way loudspeakers. It is designed to withstand long-term exposure to tough environmental conditions while providing performance normally associated only with indoor loudspeakers. An input autoformer with switchable taps provides impedance matching to 70V or 100V lines. The enclosure and HF horn are molded of UV-resistant gray polyethylene, all exposed hardware is stainless steel, and the three-layer Weather-Stop grille is retained by stainless steel screws. DYNA-TECH protection circuitry guards the drivers.
