Product Overview
The Cambridge Sound DRB-1 (part 520.0017.900) is a metal drywall rough-in bracket that reserves openings for cables and Qt Emitters before the drywall ceiling is hung. It lets installers coordinate emitter positions with the drywall trade during construction. Fold-up tabs hold the emitter in place once installed.
Product Description
On new construction and hard-lid renovation work, emitter locations must be set before the ceiling closes up. The DRB-1 mounts to framing ahead of drywall, ensuring that cable pathways and Qt Emitter openings are preserved exactly where the masking design calls for them. Slats in the metal bracket make it easier to fold and fit into joists, and pre-punched holes accept nails or screws for fast attachment. After the ceiling is finished, tabs fold up to retain the emitter in position. An optional kit that adds the drywall mount is available as the DRB-1 Kit.
