Product Description

Emitters are the ceiling loudspeakers of a sound masking system, and the Qt Active Emitter uses Cambridge Sound's direct-field Quiet Technology to project masking straight into the workspace rather than bouncing it off the ceiling deck from large in-plenum loudspeakers. The direct path yields consistent masking levels between workstations and clearer paging and music, since the driver faces the listener instead of playing through ceiling material. The ported enclosure extends masking response down to the 125 Hz octave band and paging/music response to 115 Hz, with a maximum paging/music output of 74 dBA at 1 meter and 17 dB more output than previous direct-field emitters. Four auto-sequencing uncorrelated audio channels reduce phasing and comb-filtering between adjacent emitters. Each unit connects over RJ-45 category UTP cabling, draws no more than 2 watts at 36 VDC, and ships with an acoustic ceiling tile mounting ring and slip-ring mount.
