The Cambridge Sound FCC-1 (part 322.0482.900) is an RJ45 female-to-female coupler for joining cable runs in Cambridge Sound masking systems. It connects two RJ45-terminated cables in line without re-termination. The coupler is a simple, low-cost fix for extending runs or bridging at junction points.
Product Description
When a cable run comes up short or a system reconfiguration moves a component, the FCC-1 joins two existing RJ45 cables instead of pulling a new one. The female/female format accepts standard RJ45 plugs on both sides, so factory patch cables such as the DSPC1 and DSPC7 connect directly. Inline coupling keeps terminations factory-made on both segments, which preserves connection reliability compared to field re-crimping. Keeping a few couplers in the service kit covers most extension scenarios encountered during commissioning and moves/adds/changes. Stock it alongside patch cables from our Cambridge Sound collection.
