Product Overview

The Biamp Impera Echo 8DKW is an eight-button AV control pad built for conference rooms, training rooms, and presentation spaces that need a compact, wall-mounted control interface. In a white DK form factor, this conference room control pad drives displays, projectors, and source devices over RS-232, IR, and GPIO. An on-board controller lets the Echo 8DKW run room control without a separate processor, making it a practical, low-cost endpoint in the Impera control system. It is a straightforward AV control keypad for standardized commercial rooms.

Product Description

The Impera Echo 8DKW provides a simple, tactile control interface for commercial AV spaces. Eight mechanical buttons, each with a corresponding multicolor software-configurable LED, give users clear feedback for actions such as source selection, display power, and volume. Because the controller is on board, integrators avoid specifying a separate processor for typical single-room systems, which keeps the bill of materials lean and the installation quick. The pad can be programmed and re-programmed in Biamp's Project Designer software as the needs of the room change over time.

For device control, the Echo 8DKW includes one bi-directional RS-232/IR port with feedback, one uni-directional RS-232/IR port, and three GPIO ports for sending or receiving logic signals. A mini USB connection handles configuration and maintenance, and an expansion bus supports up to two additional keypads or port expanders. The white DK housing mounts in DK-standard wall boxes and EasyConnect tabletop cable management, and the pad is covered by a five-year warranty. Where a room also needs IP device control, step up to the Echo Plus 8DKW; the matching black EU option is the Echo 8EUW, both part of the Biamp collection.
