Product Description

The CM3T-BL uses a 3-inch coated-paper dual-cone driver tuned for intelligible speech and even background music rather than high output. It ships with a multi-tap transformer offering 70V taps of 6, 3, 1.5, and 0.75 watts and 100V taps of 6, 3, and 1.5 watts, so integrators can balance level across a distributed line at design time. The loudspeaker can also run in low impedance at 16 ohms, with 10 watts RMS and 20 watts dynamic power handling, for smaller stand-alone systems. Its frequency response of 120 Hz to 18 kHz and 87 dB sensitivity suit the paging and music duty typical of commercial ceilings.

Installation is quick thanks to a two-spring mounting system and a 1 to 15 mm grip range that accommodates a variety of ceiling thicknesses, dropping into an 85 mm cutout. A black aluminum grille blends into darker ceilings, and the wide 180-degree vertical dispersion at 1 kHz spreads sound evenly below the speaker.
