The Biamp MICPAT-2 is a selective 2-zone paging microphone built for live announcements in commercial audio and distributed paging systems. It combines a flexible gooseneck, a unidirectional dynamic capsule, and two push-to-talk buttons so an operator can page zone 1, zone 2, or both zones at once. This paging station is designed for use with Biamp/Apart commercial amplifiers such as the CONCEPT1(T) and MA247(MR). Its solid aluminum base and clear per-zone LED indication make it a practical desktop paging microphone for retail, hospitality, and facility announcements.
Product Description
The MICPAT-2 gives facilities a straightforward way to make targeted zone pages without a full paging matrix. Each of the two push-to-talk buttons routes the microphone to a separate paging contact, and an integrated LED confirms which zone is live. The gooseneck positions the unidirectional dynamic capsule close to the talker to reject room noise, and the balanced microphone-level output keeps signal clean over the 5 m attached cable. Because the microphone presents a 600 ohm balanced output and separate paging contacts, integrators wire it directly into compatible mixer-amplifiers during AV system integration. The unit is intended for commercial paging deployments rather than conferencing.
