The Biamp DC220T-M is a full-range 6.5-inch drop-in ceiling tile loudspeaker sized for metric 600 mm x 600 mm ceiling grids. It drops directly into a standard suspended ceiling for fast commercial AV installation of paging and background music. The unit runs on 70V/100V distributed lines or 8-ohm low impedance and ships in pairs. It is UL1480A and UL2043 rated for use in plenum air-handling spaces.
Product Description
The DC220T-M replaces a full ceiling tile in a 600 mm grid, giving integrators a quick drop-in ceiling loudspeaker for offices, retail, and public spaces without cutting round holes. Its 165 mm (6.5") transducer delivers a 100 Hz to 18.5 kHz operating range with a 130° conical coverage pattern for even distribution across a room. A 10-watt high-performance transformer supports 70.7V or 100V distributed systems, and an 8-ohm low-impedance setting (9 V input) is available for local runs. The baffle is UL 94V-0 rated ABS with a powder-coated perforated steel grille in RAL 9016 white to blend with standard ceilings. On-axis sensitivity is 93 dB at 2.83 V, giving useful output for speech intelligibility and background music. Because DC220T-M loudspeakers ship in pairs, they suit distributed layouts across a floor plate. It is UL1480A and UL2043 certified for installation in air-handling spaces.
