The CM10TB supports low-impedance or 70V/100V operation and is designed for use with Biamp Vocia paging systems. Its plenum-rated construction meets air-handling wiring requirements for demanding commercial installations.
Product Description
The Biamp CM10TB commercial ceiling speaker is engineered for consistent, intelligible coverage in distributed audio systems. Its 5.5-inch full-range paper driver produces sensitivity comparable to many 8-inch competitors, and a 145-degree conical coverage pattern spreads sound evenly across the listening area. A front-face wattage selector lets installers set 70V/100V tap levels before the grille goes on, which speeds commissioning during 70V/100V ceiling speaker deployments. The preassembled back-can construction drops into a ceiling tile or drywall ceiling quickly, and conduit knock-outs on the input cover meet plenum air-space handling requirements. The included euroblock terminal connects under a cover that conforms to City of Chicago plenum wiring rules, and optional new-construction brackets and safety cables support code-compliant mounting. The CM10TB is ETL listed to UL1480, UL2043, and CSA62368-1 and is suitable for use in air-handling spaces per NFPA 70 and NFPA 90. It is designed to reach full rated performance with a Biamp DSP preset and a high-pass filter. For larger rooms, pair the CM10TB with companion loudspeakers from the Biamp collection, including the CMSUB8 in-ceiling subwoofer.
