The Barco R9802040 Audio and DisplayPort 1.2 input card adds audio handling and two DisplayPort 1.2 inputs to the Barco PDS-4K presentation switcher. It lets the PDS-4K pass embedded audio from HDMI, DisplayPort, and SDI inputs through to Program outputs and to embed or de-embed audio over a Dante network. The card is a factory option for the PDS-4K and PDS-4K SDI switchers and is supplied as genuine Barco article number R9802040. SDI input and output handling is supported in a future software release.

Product Description

As shown in the product image, the R9802040 card installs into the PDS-4K and brings two functions to the switcher: video input and networked audio. On the video side it adds two DisplayPort 1.2 input connectors supporting 3840x2400p@60 at 10-bit color depth and 4:4:4 sampling, with HDCP 1.x and a signal capacity of 660 MHz. On the audio side it provides two RJ-45 Dante ports with 64 input x 64 output Dante channels, AES67 support, 48 kHz sample rate, 16- or 24-bit PCM audio, and two channels per input or output. Audio routing is flexible: outputs can be selected between a specific input, Dante audio, or audio-follows-video, with program audio returned to Dante and all inputs transmitted to Dante. This makes the card central to integrating the PDS-4K into a networked audio environment alongside its video switching.
