Description

Standard HDMI distribution amplifiers split a signal to multiple outputs at the same resolution. When one or more displays cannot accept the source resolution — a 1080p monitor receiving a 4K signal, for example — those displays either go blank, display an error, or force the source device to output at a lower resolution for all outputs. The AVPro Edge 48Gbps DA with integrated scaling eliminates this compromise by allowing each output port to be independently scaled.

HDMI 2.1's 48Gbps bandwidth supports the highest consumer and prosumer video specifications in current use: 8K60, 4K120, and 4K60 4:4:4 with HDR10, HLG, and Dolby Vision. Can each of the four outputs display a different resolution simultaneously?

Yes. The integrated scaler can set each output independently. A 4K60 source can feed one output at 4K60, another at 1080p60, and another at 720p60 simultaneously — all from the same input signal.

Does it work with HDMI 2.0 displays?

Yes. The unit is backward compatible. HDMI 2.0 displays will receive a signal at the appropriate resolution for that output, scaled down if necessary from the input.
