Product Overview
The AVPro Edge 2M AOC SFP Cable is a 2-meter active optical cable designed for connecting SFP transceiver ports without the interference problems associated with copper DAC cables. Its shorter length makes it the preferred choice for same-rack or adjacent-bay installations where cable clutter and signal quality are both concerns. It is compatible with AVPro Edge SFP-equipped switches and matrix equipment.
Product Description
The 2-meter form factor is optimal for short inter-device connections within a single rack or between closely positioned enclosures. Active optical cables integrate the optical transmitter and receiver electronics into the connector housing, removing the need for separate SFP transceiver modules and reducing hardware costs. The optical signal path is immune to electromagnetic interference from power supplies, switching equipment, and other rack-mounted electronics. Both ends arrive factory-terminated, so installation involves nothing more than seating the connectors into the target SFP ports.
