Product Overview
The AVPro Edge 18Gbps HDMI 4x4 Matrix with Dual Audio De-embedding is a full-featured commercial AV matrix switch designed for installations that demand both high-fidelity video routing and flexible audio management. It supports 4K60 4:4:4 with full HDR across all four outputs simultaneously, making it a reliable backbone for multi-zone 4K HDMI distribution systems. Built-in per-output scalers eliminate the need for external conversion hardware when mixing display types, and the adjustable audio delay ensures perfect lip-sync on every zone. Whether deployed in a corporate boardroom, hotel, or luxury residential system, this 18Gbps 4x4 HDMI matrix with audio delay handles the complexity so the installation does not have to.
Product Description
The AVPro Edge 18Gbps 4x4 Matrix delivers full 18Gbps bandwidth to each of its four HDMI 2.0 outputs, supporting 4K60 4:4:4 chroma, HDR10, Dolby Vision, HLG, and HDR10+. Dual audio de-embedding extracts audio from two independent output zones simultaneously — each offering both balanced analog (2-channel PCM) and digital optical Toslink (up to 7.1 LPCM, Dolby Digital, DTS) paths. Per-output built-in scalers allow 4K-to-1080p downscaling and 4:4:4-to-4:2:0 chroma subsampling conversion, so legacy displays do not force the entire system to downgrade. Audio delay is adjustable up to 630ms per output directly from the front panel or web UI, addressing lip-sync in systems with projectors or large-format displays. The matrix also includes HDBaseT compatibility mode, converting 18Gbps signals to 9Gbps for use with HDBaseT extenders without a dedicated converter. EDID management supports 29 preset profiles including HDR EDIDs, with the ability to copy any connected display's EDID to any input. Control is available via IR, RS-232, and LAN, with driver support for Crestron, Control4, RTI, and ELAN.

Key Features
- 18Gbps Full Bandwidth — supports 4K60 4:4:4 and full HDR (HDR10, HDR12-bit, Dolby Vision, HLG, HDR10+) on every output simultaneously.
- Dual Audio De-embedding — extracts audio from two output zones independently with both analog balanced and digital optical outputs per zone.
- Per-Output Built-In Scalers — downscale 4K to 1080p or convert 4:4:4 to 4:2:0 per output, preserving signal quality on legacy displays without degrading the whole system.
- Adjustable Audio Delay — delay audio up to 630ms per output to resolve lip-sync issues common with projectors and large-screen displays.
- HDBaseT Compatibility Mode — converts high-bandwidth signals (9–18Gbps) per output for use with HDBaseT extenders, eliminating the need for additional conversion hardware.
- Advanced EDID Management — 29 onboard EDID profiles including HDR variants; copy any display EDID to any input with one button press.
- Three Audio Routing Modes — bind extracted audio to output, bind to input, or route independently as a separate audio matrix.
- Built-In Test Pattern Generator — verify downstream cabling and display infrastructure from the matrix without connecting a source.
- Multiple Control Options — IR, RS-232, and IP control with native drivers for Crestron, Control4, RTI, and ELAN platforms.
- HDCP 2.3 Compliant — supports all earlier HDCP versions for broad source and display compatibility.
Typical Applications
- Multi-zone residential home theaters requiring independent 4K source routing to different rooms
- Corporate conference centers distributing multiple video sources to displays in different rooms
- Hotel and hospitality AV systems with mixed display types needing per-output scaling
- Boardrooms and training facilities requiring synchronized audio across multiple display zones
- Sports bars and restaurants routing different content to multiple screens with independent audio zones

Frequently Asked Questions
- Can this matrix route any input to any output simultaneously?
- Yes. Any of the four HDMI inputs can be routed to any combination of the four outputs independently and simultaneously.
- What is the dual audio de-embedding and how is it different from standard de-embedding?
- Standard de-embedding extracts audio from one output bus. Dual de-embedding means two separate output zones each have their own independent audio extraction with both analog balanced and digital optical connections, enabling truly independent audio routing without a separate audio matrix.
- Does audio delay apply to both the analog and digital audio outputs?
- Yes. Audio delay up to 630ms applies to both the balanced analog and digital optical outputs on a per-output basis, and can be set from the front panel without accessing the web UI.
- Can I send a 4K signal to a 1080p display and a 4K display at the same time?
- Yes. The per-output scaler downconverts to 1080p on the output feeding the legacy display while maintaining full 4K on the other outputs — no system-wide compromise required.
- What is HDBaseT Compatibility Mode?
- It converts an 18Gbps signal to approximately 9Gbps per output, allowing that output to feed an HDBaseT transmitter or extender without a separate signal converter. This is managed per output, so you can mix direct HDMI runs and HDBaseT runs from the same matrix.
- Is this product compatible with my control system?
- Native certified drivers are available for Crestron, Control4, RTI, and ELAN. LAN, RS-232, and IR control interfaces are also available for other control systems that can send serial or TCP/IP commands.
