The AVPro Edge 10G SFP+ Multi-Mode Fiber Module (AC-10G-SFPP-MM) is a 10 Gigabit optical transceiver for use in AVPro Edge MXNet 10G switch SFP+ ports. It enables multi-mode fiber connectivity between switches, extending reach well beyond the distance limits of Direct Attach Copper cables.
Product Description
The AC-10G-SFPP-MM transceiver module plugs into any SFP+ port on an AVPro Edge MXNet 10G switch and provides an LC duplex interface for multi-mode fiber cabling. This allows integrators to run fiber between switch locations in larger facilities where DAC cables cannot reach. Using multi-mode fiber with 850nm transceivers is a well-established approach for in-building 10G links at distances up to 300 meters on OM3 or 400 meters on OM4 fiber.
