The Avid NEXIS F2X IOM (I/O Module) with ExpertPlus Hardware Support is a replacement or additional I/O module for the Avid NEXIS F2X storage chassis, sold with ExpertPlus with Hardware Support coverage. The F2X IOM provides network interface ports for the F2X chassis, enabling client connectivity to the NEXIS shared storage fabric. ExpertPlus with Hardware Support provides hardware replacement coverage and expert technical access.

The NEXIS F2X IOM houses the network interface cards used to connect clients and switches to the F2X shared storage chassis. The F2X includes additional 25GbE ports vs. the F2 for higher client density. Replacement or additional IOMs may be required in the event of IOM failure or when reconfiguring F2X network connectivity.
