The Avid NEXIS | F2 Engine (No Media Packs) is the F2 chassis and controller without installed Media Packs, for organizations building or expanding NEXIS shared storage environments who will purchase Media Packs separately. The F2 engine provides the 25GbE network connectivity, storage controller, and NEXIS FS Foundation license required to operate the F2 chassis with customer-selected Media Pack configurations. This bundle includes Avid ExpertPlus with Hardware Support maintenance coverage.
Product Description
The NEXIS F2 Engine (no packs) is suited for staged deployments where capacity will be added incrementally, or where a specific Media Pack configuration is being purchased separately. The F2 engine supports the same 25GbE connectivity, NEXIS FS license, and SDA/SDA+ integration as fully-populated F2 configurations. F2 Media Packs (60TB, 100TB, or 140TB) and NEXIS SDA or SDA+ are required and sold separately.
