Product Overview

The AVer M11-8M is an 8-megapixel USB and HDMI document camera built for classroom instruction, distance learning, and hybrid teaching environments. It connects to a PC, Mac, or Chromebook via a single USB 3.0 cable that simultaneously powers the device and transmits video, with an additional HDMI output for direct connection to a display or projector. The M11-8M is UVC and UAC compliant, making it compatible with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, and all major video conferencing platforms without driver installation.

Product Description

The M11-8M captures up to 3168x2376 pixels at 8 fps over USB or 1920x1080 at 60 fps over both HDMI and USB, providing sharp image quality for displaying documents, textbooks, lab specimens, and three-dimensional objects. The 20x digital zoom allows instructors to focus on fine details within an A3 (16.53 x 12.4 inch) shooting area without repositioning the camera or the object being shown.

The mechanical arm folds to less than 12 inches tall and just over 5 inches wide when collapsed, making it compact enough to fit in a carrying bag for instructors who move between classrooms or remote teaching locations. In operating position, the swivel head rotates 180 degrees, allowing the camera to be turned toward the instructor for live demonstration or back toward the document surface without moving the base unit.

A built-in LED lamp at 0.5W provides supplemental illumination for low-light classroom environments or documents with low contrast. The built-in microphone captures instructor audio when the M11-8M is used as the primary input device in a video conferencing session, eliminating the need for a separate USB microphone in single-presenter setups.

On-screen annotation is available via the HDMI output using a connected mouse, allowing instructors to highlight, circle, and mark up documents being displayed without switching to a separate software tool. AVerTouch software for Windows and Mac adds recording, live streaming, split-screen comparison, and cloud save capabilities. Sphere Lite software extends compatibility to Chrome OS devices.

Internal temporary storage holds up to 120 images, and the device supports external storage via a USB flash drive (FAT32, up to 32GB) and a micro SD card slot (FAT32, up to 32GB) for saving captured images directly to portable media. Power is supplied entirely through the mini-USB cable, drawing a maximum of 4W with the LED lamp on.
