The AVer COMEXPSPK is an expansion speakerphone designed specifically for the AVer VC520 PRO and VC520 Pro2 video conferencing systems. It connects to the base speakerphone included with those systems to extend microphone and speaker coverage beyond what a single unit provides. One COMEXPSPK brings the combined voice-pickup radius from 15 feet to 30 feet; a second unit extends coverage to a maximum 45 feet across three speakerphones in total. The unit operates in full-duplex mode with a dual-microphone array, automatic gain control, echo cancellation, and background noise suppression to maintain call clarity regardless of where participants are seated in the room.

In a mid-to-large conference room, a single speakerphone placed at the center of the table often cannot provide adequate microphone pickup for participants seated at the far ends. The AVer COMEXPSPK solves this by adding an additional speakerphone node that daisy-chains to the VC520 PRO’s existing speakerphone via an included 33-foot Cat 6 cable. The two units work together as a unified audio system, with voice pickup extending across a combined 30-foot radius — or 45 feet with a second COMEXPSPK in the chain.

Each COMEXPSPK unit carries a dual-microphone array with 360-degree omnidirectional pickup and a 15-foot individual range. Automatic gain control adjusts microphone sensitivity dynamically to prevent one loud speaker from drowning out quieter voices. Echo cancellation removes room reflections and speaker bleed from the microphone signal, while active noise suppression reduces HVAC, keyboard, and ambient background noise. The result is clear, intelligible audio on both ends of the call without manual adjustment.

The 6-watt speaker delivers up to 90 dB SPL at 0.5 meters, which is sufficient volume to fill a medium-to-large conference room without distortion. Full speakerphone controls — mute/unmute, volume up/down, call answer, and call hang-up — are available on the COMEXPSPK itself, so participants at the far end of the table are not dependent on the main unit for call management. Connectivity uses one RJ45 port for the upstream connection to the VC520 PRO speakerphone and a second RJ45 port for chaining to an additional expansion unit.

The COMEXPSPK is the correct accessory for the VC520 PRO and VC520 Pro2. It is not compatible with the original VC520 or VC520+, which use a different expansion speakerphone (COMVCSPK2).
