The AVer VC520 PRO Expansion Microphone (COMEXPMIC) extends the voice pickup coverage of the VC520 Pro and VC520 Pro2 conferencing systems without adding cabling complexity to the host unit. Using a full-duplex electret condenser element, it captures 360° of audio at up to 15 feet per unit, making it well suited for mid-size and large conference rooms where participants are spread across the table. Up to four expansion microphones can be daisy-chained together, scaling the system to a combined 30-foot pickup diameter when paired with the VC520 Pro's included speakerphone.

The COMEXPMIC is designed exclusively for the AVer VC520 Pro and VC520 Pro2 video conferencing systems, providing a straightforward way to increase microphone coverage as your meeting room grows. Its electret condenser capsule delivers a frequency response of 120 Hz to 16 kHz, capturing natural voice intelligibility without coloring the audio. A 5-meter (16.4 ft) Cat 6 cable is included, connecting directly to the RJ45 expansion port on the VC520 Pro speakerphone.

Because the microphone draws power over Ethernet from the speakerphone, no separate power adapter is required, keeping cable management clean. Full-duplex operation means participants on both ends of the call can speak and be heard simultaneously without half-duplex clipping artifacts. The daisy-chain architecture allows you to add microphones incrementally—one, two, three, or four units—scaling coverage in 15-foot increments as the room demands.

The unit is finished in a low-profile matte-black housing designed for tabletop placement. Its omnidirectional 360° pickup pattern means placement anywhere along the conference table achieves consistent results without dead zones. Combined with the VC520 Pro's built-in echo cancellation and noise suppression, intelligibility remains high even in acoustically reflective rooms.
