Product Overview

The AVer TR315 is a professional 4K PTZ auto-tracking camera built for installations that require simultaneous HDMI, 3G-SDI, USB, and IP streaming outputs without the added cost of NDI|HX licensing. Powered by a 1/2.8" 8MP Exmor CMOS sensor and delivering up to 4K60 across all four output types concurrently, the TR315 fits both traditional broadcast chains and modern IP streaming workflows. Three AI-powered tracking modes — Presenter, Zone, and Hybrid — provide hands-free coverage of speakers and content zones in rooms where a camera operator is not available. PoE+ support, RS-232/RS-422 serial control, and VISCA/ONVIF compatibility make the TR315 a straightforward integration target for Crestron, Extron, AMX, and other control systems.

Product Description

The AVer TR315 v3 is the updated successor to the TR313V2, bringing 4K60 simultaneous output, improved AI tracking performance, and PoE+ power delivery in a form factor compatible with existing ceiling and wall mount infrastructure. The camera outputs HDMI, 3G-SDI, USB 3.0, and IP streaming at the same time, eliminating the need for downstream signal splitters or distribution amplifiers in mixed-signal environments. For broadcast-adjacent installations where a 3G-SDI connection to a production switcher is required alongside a USB feed to a Zoom Rooms or Teams Rooms compute device, the TR315 handles both from a single camera head.

The 8MP Exmor CMOS sensor produces clean 4K imagery in variable lighting conditions, aided by Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) processing that balances exposure across bright windows and darker room interiors. The 12x optical zoom spans a horizontal field of view from approximately 72.8° (wide) to 6.7° (tele), covering front-of-room to tight presenter framing from a single fixed mount position. AI tracking modes operate entirely on-device: Presenter Mode follows full or half-body subjects; Zone Mode locks on up to four pre-defined content zones; Hybrid Mode switches automatically between presenter and zone capture based on subject position. Voice-activated PTZ preset recall is available when the TR315 is paired with compatible microphone systems via AVer PTZ Link software on a room PC, or via the MT300N tracking box for a PC-free deployment. A built-in tally light supports multi-camera live production workflows, and a Kensington security lock slot addresses physical security requirements in shared spaces. The TR315 ships with ceiling mount brackets, RS-232 and DIN-8 to D-Sub9 cables, IR remote, and a 5-year manufacturer warranty on the camera body.

  • 12x Optical Zoom — 72.8° to 6.7° horizontal field of view covers wide-angle room capture to tightly framed presenter shots from a single mount position.
  • 8MP Exmor CMOS Sensor — Sony Exmor sensor design delivers clean, low-noise imagery in variable lighting, enhanced by on-board WDR processing.
  • PoE+ Powered — single Cat5e/Cat6 cable delivers both power and network connectivity, reducing installation complexity and conduit requirements.
  • RS-232/RS-422 Serial Control — VISCA command compatibility enables direct integration with Crestron, Extron, AMX, and similar control platforms.
  • Voice Tracking Compatible — integrates with select Shure, Sennheiser, Yamaha, ClearOne, Nureva, and Audio-Technica microphone systems via PTZ Link or MT300N.
  • Tally Light — built-in illuminated tally indicator supports multi-camera live production environments.
  • 5-Year Warranty — manufacturer warranty on camera body for long-term deployment confidence in permanent installations.

Typical Applications

  • House of worship — 4K60 capture with hands-free AI tracking across large sanctuaries, with 3G-SDI output to a production switcher and IP streaming to online platforms simultaneously.
  • Broadcast studio — 3G-SDI integration into traditional production switchers alongside IP streaming for simultaneous live distribution.
  • Training room — Zone and Hybrid tracking modes capture both instructor movement and presentation content without operator intervention.
  • Auditorium — 12x optical zoom and ±170° pan range enable full-room coverage from a single mount position in large-format spaces.
  • Conference room — PoE+ single-cable deployment and ONVIF compliance simplify integration with UC platforms, room control systems, and network infrastructure.
  • All-hands room — simultaneous USB and IP outputs support both a local UC compute device and a network-based recording system from a single camera head.
  • Multi-purpose room — Hybrid tracking mode adapts between presenter and content capture as room configuration changes across different use cases.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the difference between the AVer TR315 and the TR315N?

A: The TR315 and TR315N share the same 4K60 sensor, 12x optical zoom, AI tracking modes, pan/tilt range, and physical form factor. The key difference is that the TR315N adds NDI|HX3 support for IP-based video transport in NDI-enabled production environments. If your installation uses NewTek, vMix, Telestream, or other NDI-compatible platforms and requires NDI transport, the TR315N is the appropriate choice. If your workflow relies on HDMI, 3G-SDI, USB, and standard IP streaming (RTSP/RTMP/H.264/H.265), the TR315 provides the same output quality at a lower cost point.

Q: Can the TR315 output HDMI and 3G-SDI at the same time?

A: Yes. The TR315 supports simultaneous output across all four connection types — HDMI, 3G-SDI, USB 3.0, and IP streaming — from a single camera head. This makes it possible to feed a production switcher via 3G-SDI, a local display via HDMI, a Zoom Rooms compute device via USB, and a network streaming encoder via IP at the same time without any additional signal distribution hardware.

Q: Does the TR315 require a PC for AI auto-tracking?

A: No. Presenter, Zone, and Hybrid tracking modes run entirely on the camera’s internal processor and do not require a connected PC. For voice-activated PTZ preset recall using compatible microphone systems, you can run AVer PTZ Link software on an existing room compute device, or use the AVer MT300N tracking box for a fully standalone, PC-free deployment.

Q: Is the TR315 compatible with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and other UC platforms?

A: Yes. The TR315's USB 3.0 output works as a standard UVC camera device on any UC platform that accepts USB camera input, including Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Cisco Webex, and Google Meet. IP streaming via RTSP or RTMP also enables integration with platform-specific encoders and gateways. ONVIF compliance supports integration with VMS and UC infrastructure at the network level.

Q: What control systems are compatible with the TR315?

A: The TR315 supports RS-232 and RS-422 serial control using VISCA commands, and VISCA over IP for network-based PTZ control. It is ONVIF-compliant. Verified compatible platforms include Crestron, Extron, AMX, Echo360, Panopto, Kaltura, vMix, Zoom, and Telestream. For integration design assistance, contact Creation Networks.

Q: Can the TR315 be powered over PoE?

A: Yes, the TR315 supports PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at), allowing a single Cat5e or Cat6 cable to deliver both power and network connectivity to the camera. A PoE+ capable switch port or midspan injector is required. A DC 12V power adapter is also included for installations without PoE+ infrastructure.
