Product Overview

The AVer TR211 is a 12x optical zoom, Full HD 1080p 60fps AI auto-tracking PTZ camera designed for professional AV installations where a dedicated camera operator is not practical. Powered by a 1/2.8" CMOS sensor and AVer's onboard AI engine, the TR211 tracks presenters and content zones automatically across three distinct modes: Presenter, Zone, and Hybrid. With simultaneous 3G-SDI, HDMI, USB, and IP output plus PoE+ support, the TR211 integrates into virtually any signal chain without additional power infrastructure.

The camera ships with a 5-year AVerCare warranty and 24-hour replacement program, making it a reliable long-term investment for AV integrators and facilities managers alike.

Product Description

The AVer TR211 AI auto tracking PTZ camera addresses the core challenge in lecture capture, house of worship production, and corporate all-hands rooms: keeping the subject in frame without a dedicated operator. The onboard AI engine identifies and locks onto a presenter in real time, following full-body or half-body framing depending on the configured mode. Zone Mode lets integrators define fixed content areas — ideal for capturing whiteboards or presentation screens — while Hybrid Mode alternates automatically between presenter tracking and zone capture based on activity.

Video output is simultaneously available across all four interfaces: 3G-SDI for broadcast infrastructure, HDMI for local display or recording, USB 3.0 Type-B for direct PC connectivity (UVC 1.1 compliant, no driver required), and IP streaming via H.264, H.265, or MJPEG over RTMP, RTSP, or SRT. SRT transport is particularly useful for remote productions over unpredictable internet connections. The camera also supports NDI|HX3 for network-based AV workflows.

Control is handled via RS-232, RS-422, or IP using VISCA, PELCO-D, or PELCO-P protocols, with CGI available over IP. Up to 256 preset positions can be stored via RS-232 or IP; 10 are accessible directly from the included IR remote. Pan and tilt ranges cover ±170° and -30° to +90° respectively, with a maximum preset speed of 200°/sec. Wide Dynamic Range processing ensures usable image quality in high-contrast lighting environments.

Power is supplied via PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at) or the included 12V DC adapter, keeping cable runs minimal in ceiling or wall installations. A tally light on the camera body illuminates when the unit is live — a practical feature in multi-camera productions managed via AVer's free PTZ Management software.

Key Features

  • Three AI Tracking Modes — Presenter, Zone, and Hybrid modes allow the camera to follow a speaker, lock onto a content area, or switch between both automatically.
  • 12x Optical Zoom — Covers medium to large rooms with a 42° wide-angle FOV narrowing to 3° at full tele, suitable for auditoriums and large conference rooms.
  • Simultaneous 4-Output Signal Chain — 3G-SDI, HDMI, USB, and IP outputs are all active at once, allowing broadcast, local display, PC capture, and streaming in parallel.
  • SRT and NDI|HX3 Ready — SRT transport provides reliable streaming over unpredictable networks; NDI|HX3 enables low-latency integration with network AV workflows.
  • PoE+ Power — IEEE 802.3at PoE+ eliminates the need for a local power outlet, simplifying ceiling and wall installations.
  • 256 Preset Positions — Store up to 256 positions via RS-232 or IP for complex multi-zone productions.
  • Tally Light — Integrated tally indicator shows when the camera is live, supporting multi-camera workflows.
  • Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) — Balances exposure in high-contrast lighting environments such as windowed rooms and stage lighting.
  • 5-Year AVerCare Warranty — Includes 24-hour replacement, providing integrators and end users with long-term support coverage.
  • Free Management Software — Compatible with AVer PTZ Management, PTZ Control Panel (iPad), PTZ Link, and CaptureShare at no additional cost.

Typical Applications

  • House of Worship — Track pastors and worship leaders across large sanctuaries without a camera operator on every service.
  • Training Room — Capture instructors and content displays simultaneously using Hybrid Mode for post-production or live streaming.
  • Auditorium — Long-throw 12x zoom and SDI output make the TR211 suitable for large-venue lecture capture and event recording.
  • All-Hands Room — PoE+ power and IP streaming reduce infrastructure complexity for corporate communications spaces.
  • Broadcast Studio — Tally light, 3G-SDI output, and SRT transport align with broadcast production workflows.
  • Conference Room — AI tracking and USB plug-and-play connectivity support UC platform integration with no driver installation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Does the AVer TR211 require a PC or external processor to run AI tracking?

A: No. The TR211 runs all three AI tracking modes — Presenter, Zone, and Hybrid — onboard without a connected PC or external processing unit. A PC connection via USB is only needed when using the camera as a UVC device for video conferencing.

Q: Can the TR211 output to multiple destinations simultaneously?

A: Yes. The TR211 supports simultaneous output across all four interfaces: 3G-SDI, HDMI, USB, and IP. This allows broadcast recording, local display, PC capture, and live streaming to run concurrently from a single camera.

Q: What control protocols does the TR211 support?

A: The TR211 supports VISCA over RS-232, RS-422, and IP, as well as PELCO-D and PELCO-P over RS-232 and RS-422. CGI commands are available over IP. It is compatible with most professional PTZ controllers and control systems.

Q: Does the TR211 support ONVIF?

A: The TR211 uses CGI over IP for network control and supports standard streaming protocols including RTSP and RTMP. For ONVIF-specific integration requirements, contact AVer or your AV integrator to confirm compatibility with your control system.

Q: What is the difference between Presenter Mode, Zone Mode, and Hybrid Mode?

A: Presenter Mode tracks a speaker's body (full or half body) as they move across the room. Zone Mode keeps the camera locked on a defined content area, such as a whiteboard or screen. Hybrid Mode combines both — the camera automatically switches between following the presenter and returning to a content zone based on activity.

Q: Is PoE+ sufficient to power the TR211, or does it require a separate power adapter?

A: PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at) is sufficient to fully power the TR211 at 18W. A 12V DC power adapter is also included in the box if a PoE+ switch is not available.

Q: Where can I purchase the AVer TR211 for my installation project?

A: The AVer TR211 (SKU: PATR211V3) is available from Creation Networks, a commercial AV specialist stocking the full AVer Pro AV camera line. Contact us for volume pricing and integration support.
