The VB342 and VB342+ soundbars include built-in array microphones capable of picking up voices up to 12 feet from the unit. In larger or irregularly shaped conference rooms, that range can be insufficient to capture participants seated far from the soundbar or around a wide table. The COMVBM20M addresses this by positioning a standalone omnidirectional microphone capsule directly at the far end of the table or room, connecting back to the soundbar via the included 20-meter cable.

The microphone's omnidirectional pickup pattern captures audio from all directions within approximately a 10 to 12-foot radius, making it effective in roundtable configurations where participants are seated around the microphone rather than in front of it. The low-profile puck-style form factor sits flat on a conference table without obstructing sightlines to the VB342 or VB342+ camera.
