Product Overview

The AVer PTZ211 is a professional HD PTZ camera built for permanent installation in houses of worship, lecture halls, corporate boardrooms, and broadcast studios. It delivers 1080p60 full HD video through simultaneous HDMI, 3G-SDI, USB 3.0, and IP outputs, giving AV integrators the flexibility to feed multiple destinations from a single camera head. The 12x optical zoom and 0.1-degree pan/tilt precision make it a dependable choice for medium-to-large venues where subject framing and smooth motion control are non-negotiable.

Product Description

The PTZ211 is built around a 1/2.8-inch HD CMOS sensor capturing 2-megapixel images at up to 60 frames per second. Its 12x optical zoom covers a horizontal field of view from 62.3 degrees at wide to 2.5 degrees at tele, giving operators confident reach across large rooms without digital quality loss. Pan range is ±170 degrees and tilt range is -30 to +90 degrees, with a maximum preset speed of 200 degrees per second—fast enough for live event production where quick repositioning is required.

Control options span VISCA over RS-232, RS-422, and IP; PELCO-D and PELCO-P over RS-232 and RS-422; CGI over IP; and full ONVIF compliance. Up to 256 presets can be stored and recalled via VISCA, and 10 manual presets are accessible directly from the included IR remote. Dual IR sensors on the camera body provide reliable remote reception from a wide angle of approach. A front-facing tally light signals active camera status at a glance, an important feature in multi-camera switching environments.

For IP-based workflows the PTZ211 streams over RTMP, RTSP, SRT, and HLS simultaneously alongside its hardware outputs. The built-in AI Zone Tracking function locks onto a defined content area or follows a presenter automatically, reducing the need for a dedicated camera operator. The white finish (PAPTZ211W) suits front-of-room installations where the camera is visible to the audience.

Note: This SKU (PAPTZ211W) does not include NDI capability. For NDI-enabled operation, consult the AVer PTZ211N variant.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Does the PTZ211 (PAPTZ211W) include NDI?

A: No. The PAPTZ211W variant does not include NDI capability. If your workflow requires NDI output, look for the NDI-enabled PTZ211 variant. Contact Creation Networks if you need guidance on which model fits your system.

Q: Can the PTZ211 output to HDMI and SDI at the same time?

A: Yes. The PTZ211 provides simultaneous output over HDMI, 3G-SDI, USB 3.0, and IP, so you can feed a local monitor, a video switcher, a recording device, and a streaming encoder all at once without a signal splitter.

Q: How many presets can the PTZ211 store?

A: Up to 256 presets via VISCA over RS-232, RS-422, or IP. Ten of those positions are also accessible from the included IR remote for quick manual recall.

Q: What control protocols does the PTZ211 support?

A: VISCA (RS-232, RS-422, and IP), PELCO-D and PELCO-P (RS-232 and RS-422), CGI over IP, and ONVIF. This covers the majority of control systems and PTZ controllers used in professional AV installations.

Q: What is AI Zone Tracking?

A: AI Zone Tracking uses onboard processing to automatically adjust the camera's pan, tilt, and zoom to keep a defined content area or a moving presenter within frame. It reduces or eliminates the need for a dedicated camera operator in lecture capture and live-streaming applications.

Q: Is the white finish suitable for front-of-room installation?

A: Yes. The white finish is designed for environments where the camera is visible to the audience, such as the front wall of a lecture hall or council chamber. A black variant may be available for installations where low visual profile is preferred.
