The RF Venue BPF560T608 is a passive UHF band-pass filter designed to improve wireless microphone system performance by attenuating out-of-band RF interference while passing signals in the 560–608 MHz range with minimal insertion loss. Hand-tuned to the specified pass band, it provides 40 dB of rejection below 535 MHz and above 632 MHz, protecting wireless receivers from cellular, public safety, and other UHF transmissions operating outside the licensed wireless mic spectrum.

In high-density RF environments — stadiums, convention centers, houses of worship, broadcast facilities — wireless microphone systems are exposed to interference from a wide range of out-of-band RF sources. Cellular LTE and 5G signals, public safety radio, and other licensed services operating adjacent to the wireless mic spectrum can overload receiver front ends and cause dropout, noise, and intermodulation products that degrade system reliability.
The BPF560T608 addresses this by placing a precision band-pass filter on the antenna feed ahead of the receiver or antenna distribution system. The 560–608 MHz pass band is specifically tuned for systems using Shure J1 and J3 frequency bands, Sennheiser G band, Sennheiser 6000/9000 High Band configurations, and Lectrosonics Blocks B22 and B23. By restricting the RF signal path to the frequencies actually used by the wireless system, the filter reduces receiver overload and improves dynamic range in congested RF environments.
The BPF560T608 is entirely passive — no power supply is required — and connects inline via standard BNC connectors. It introduces a maximum of 3.5 dB insertion loss across the pass band, which is typically recovered by the gain of the antenna distribution system. The filter is not compatible with active antennas or IEM transmit paths and should not be placed on transmit antenna feeds.

- In most installed systems, the insertion loss is recovered by the gain of the antenna distribution system (typically 10–12 dB). For passive antenna splits without a distribution amplifier, the insertion loss adds to total cable and splitter loss. RF Venue recommends using the BPF560T608 at the input of an active antenna distributor to offset the filter's insertion loss.
- Can I use the BPF560T608 with my active antenna?
- No. The BPF560T608 is not compatible with active antennas that supply DC power over the coaxial cable. Installing this passive filter between an active antenna and a receiver or distributor will block the DC power path and may damage the antenna or filter. Use the filter on passive antenna feeds only.
- Is this filter compatible with my Sennheiser 6000 or 9000 series system?
- Yes, provided your Sennheiser 6000/9000 system is configured for High Band operation in the 560–608 MHz range. Verify your system's frequency band assignment before purchasing. Sennheiser 6000/9000 systems can be ordered in multiple frequency bands; confirm your specific band before selecting a filter.
- Can I use the BPF560T608 on an IEM transmit antenna?
- No. Band-pass filters in the BPF series are designed for receive-side antenna feeds only. Placing a filter on a transmit antenna path will attenuate the transmit signal and is not supported. For IEM systems, only use the filter on the receive antenna path if monitoring return signals.
- Where in the signal chain should I install the BPF560T608?
- Install the filter as close to the antenna as possible — ideally at the antenna output or at the input of the antenna distribution system. Placing the filter early in the chain prevents out-of-band signals from intermodulating within splitters or distribution amplifiers before they can be rejected.
