The Audio-Technica BP899c-TH is a low-profile subminiature omnidirectional condenser lavalier microphone in a theater-beige finish, supplied with an unterminated cable. The beige color blends discreetly against skin tones for theatrical and broadcast applications. Its wide dynamic range and high sound pressure tolerance deliver intelligible, natural-sounding speech for stage talent, lecturers, and worship leaders. The unterminated version lets integrators fit the connector required by their wireless or installed system.
Product Description
The Audio-Technica BP899c-TH omnidirectional lavalier microphone provides discreet, even voice pickup for theater, AV, and broadcast where a low-visibility capsule is needed.
The theater-beige finish is the same specification as the standard BP899c in a color chosen to blend against skin for on-stage and on-camera use. The omnidirectional capsule captures sound evenly from all directions, maintaining a consistent level as the talent turns their head. The diaphragm opening is covered by an acoustically transparent, moisture-repellent protective mesh that supports maximum frequency response and durability. An included resonance cap can be fitted to increase intelligibility and to direct sweat and moisture away from the capsule. The 55-inch cable uses a urethane elastomer jacket that resists abrasion and moisture while remaining flexible. A clothing clip with two strain-relief points isolates the microphone from mechanical noise transferred along the cable. Two windscreens are included, each with a clasp that secures it to the microphone to prevent loss during performances.
