Product Description
The BP898 is a low-profile lavalier cardioid condenser available with terminations for wired or wireless use, and this BP898cW model is configured for wireless. It features a 55-inch (1.4 m) permanently attached cable terminated with a locking 4-pin connector for use with Audio-Technica cW-style body-pack wireless transmitters, and it includes no power module. The microphone's wide dynamic range and tolerance for high sound pressure levels produce intelligible, natural-sounding audio suited to presenters and performers. The cardioid element has a pronounced proximity effect at close range that enhances the user's voice, with the low-frequency lift dropping off as distance increases. The cable is made of a durable urethane elastomer that provides flexibility and strength while resisting abrasion and moisture. A clothing clip with two strain-relief points isolates the microphone from mechanical noise transferred along the cable.
