The Audio-Technica BP898cT4 is a low-profile subminiature cardioid condenser lavalier microphone terminated with a TA4F connector for compatible body-pack wireless transmitters. The Audio-Technica BP898cT4 cardioid lavalier microphone is built for focused, natural voice pickup in live and broadcast production.
The fixed-charge back plate permanently polarized condenser element provides a cardioid pattern with a pronounced proximity effect at close range that enhances the wearer's voice. This low-frequency lift drops off as working distance increases; where a less focused pickup or greater distance is needed, the omnidirectional BP899 is the recommended alternative. The 55" (1.4 m) permanently attached cable uses a urethane elastomer jacket that stays flexible and strong while resisting abrasion and moisture. An included clothing clip provides two strain-relief points that isolate the capsule from mechanical noise transferred along the cable. Two windscreens are supplied, each with a clasp that locks it to the microphone so it stays in place during critical moments such as sporting events. The TA4F termination connects to compatible body-pack wireless transmitters that accept a 4-pin TA4F input.
