The Audio-Technica BP898cH cardioid lavalier microphone is designed for clear, focused voice pickup in demanding live and broadcast settings.
The fixed-charge back plate permanently polarized condenser element delivers a cardioid polar pattern with a pronounced proximity effect at close range that enhances the wearer's voice. This low-frequency lift drops off as working distance increases; for less focused pickup at greater distances, the omnidirectional BP899 is the recommended alternative. The 55" (1.4 m) permanently attached cable is built from a urethane elastomer jacket that offers flexibility and strength while resisting abrasion and moisture. An included clothing clip provides two strain-relief points that isolate the capsule from mechanical noise transferred along the cable. Two windscreens are supplied, each with a clasp that secures it to the microphone so it will not blow off during critical moments such as sporting events. The cH-style termination connects directly to Audio-Technica cH-style body-pack transmitters with no separate power module required.
