It is a single-channel transmitter with a unidirectional dynamic capsule, letting you select any one of four channel frequencies: 169.505, 170.245, 171.045 and 171.905 MHz. Because each frequency is coordinated, you can operate up to four System 9 systems simultaneously by assigning each a different channel. Paired with a System 9 receiver, sold separately, it captures audio for vocal, speech and presentation applications with clear, natural sound. The transmitter provides an operating range of 200 feet for typical room and small-venue coverage. It is powered by two AA batteries and operates for up to 8 hours on a set.
