An impedance of 38 ohms and 99 dB sensitivity let the headphones run from interfaces, mixers, and portable devices without a separate amplifier in most cases. The closed-back earcups isolate the listener and reduce bleed into open microphones.
Detachable cables simplify replacement and storage, and the earcups swivel for single-ear monitoring. For a lighter-duty option, the ATH-M30x shares the same 40 mm driver platform.
