As an Audio-Technica AT8470 tapered microphone clamp, it screws onto standard 5/8"-27 threaded stands and supports A-T models such as the AE5400, AE3300, AE6100, and ATM510. An adjustable-angle hinge lets technicians aim the microphone precisely for vocal and instrument capture.
Product Description
The AT8470 is a sturdy, noise-reducing clamp engineered for tapered-body handheld and instrument microphones. Its pliant material flexes to grip the microphone while acoustically decoupling it from the stand, which helps shield the capsule from mechanical noise when the microphone is attached, removed, or bumped during a performance. This makes it well suited to live sound, broadcast, and house-of-worship applications where stage noise must stay out of the program feed. The clamp threads directly onto standard 5/8"-27 microphone stands, so it integrates with common stage and studio hardware.
