Audio-Technica AT8160 Metal windscreen with internal pop protection
Product Overview
The Audio-Technica AT8160 is a metal windscreen with internal pop protection for handheld vocal microphones, combining a durable metal mesh exterior with an internal filter that controls plosives. It is a rugged alternative to foam for live vocal use in houses of worship, auditoriums, and multi-purpose rooms.
Product Description
The AT8160 replaces or upgrades a handheld microphone's grille with a tough metal mesh and an internal pop filter, reducing breath blasts and plosives while standing up to heavy stage handling.
Unlike foam, the metal windscreen resists wear and is easy to clean, which suits high-use vocal microphones in worship and event settings.
Key Features
- Durable metal mesh — A tough metal exterior stands up to heavy stage handling far better than foam.
- Internal pop protection — An internal filter controls plosives and breath blasts for cleaner vocals.
- Easy to clean — The metal construction resists wear and wipes clean for high-use microphones.
- Live-vocal ready — Suits handheld vocal microphones in worship, auditorium, and event use.
