The Audio-Technica AT8035 is a line + gradient condenser shotgun microphone for directional capture in film, broadcast, and video production. Its narrow pickup pattern rejects off-axis sound, making it a focused shotgun microphone for boom and camera use. At 369 mm it is a shorter, more maneuverable option than longer shotguns, and it runs on either an AA battery or 11–52V phantom power.
Product Description
The AT8035 reaches a subject at a distance while rejecting surrounding noise, which suits dialogue, field production, and event coverage. Its shorter body is easier to handle on a boom or camera in tight spaces.
Frequency response runs 40–20,000 Hz with an 80 Hz, 12 dB/octave low-frequency roll-off, a 110 dB dynamic range, and a 72 dB signal-to-noise ratio. The microphone handles up to 132 dB SPL on phantom power and weighs just 170 g.
For greater reach, the longer AT8015 (460 mm) shares the same line + gradient design.
