Product Description
This is the hypercardioid head capsule only; it threads onto the AT4900b-48 modular microphone body (sold separately) to form a complete microphone. Buying capsules separately lets a facility stock multiple polar patterns against a smaller inventory of bodies.
The hypercardioid pattern determines the microphone's pickup, so an engineer can re-tune an installed modular microphone to the room or source by swapping the capsule. The assembled microphone operates on 48V phantom power.
