The Audinate Dante AVIO 2x2 USB Type-C adapter connects Mac, Windows, or Linux computers directly to a Dante audio network without drivers or additional software. As a class-compliant USB 2.0 device, it integrates with any audio application immediately upon connection — making it the standard choice for BYOD conference room audio integration and portable Dante network access points. It delivers 2 channels in and 2 channels out at 24-bit/48 kHz, supports AES67 RTP transport, and operates on PoE or USB bus power.
Product Description
Dante AVIO USB-C gives integrators a reliable, permanent drop-point for guest laptops in conference rooms and meeting spaces — connect any USB-C equipped computer and it appears immediately in Dante Controller with no reconfiguration of the existing network. This is particularly useful in multi-use spaces where the primary Dante infrastructure is fixed but the source computer changes between meetings or presenters.
The adapter is powered via an 802.3af PoE switch (Class 1) or from the host computer's USB port, with USB Power Delivery support up to 7.5W. Device latency is configurable at 1, 2, or 5ms through Dante Controller. AES67 RTP transport enables interoperability with non-Dante IP audio systems in mixed-protocol environments. Dante Domain Manager (DDM) support provides IT-level security, role-based access control, and centralized management across enterprise deployments. The sonically-welded ABS enclosure handles repeated handling in both installed and portable applications — a USB-C to USB-C cable is included.
