The Audinate Dante AVIO 2x2 AES3/EBU I/O Adapter bridges AES3/EBU digital audio equipment with a Dante audio network using two balanced XLR connectors — one input and one output — and built-in asynchronous sample rate conversion. This Dante AES3 adapter is designed for integrators connecting AES3-equipped amplifiers, DSPs, microphone preamplifiers, speaker processors, or video systems to an existing Dante infrastructure. It supports sample rates of 44.1, 48, 88.2, and 96 kHz with 16, 24, and 32-bit audio, is PoE powered, and is fully compatible with AES67 and Dante Domain Manager.
Product Description
The AES3/EBU AVIO adapter handles the sample rate and format conversion required when interfacing digital audio gear that operates at fixed clock rates with a Dante network running at a different sample rate. Built-in asynchronous sample rate conversion (ASRC) eliminates clock synchronization issues, making it straightforward to integrate equipment like fixed-rate amplifiers, video systems with embedded AES3 audio, or digital outboard gear into a variable-rate Dante environment.
With an SNR exceeding 135dB, the AES3 AVIO adapter delivers genuinely transparent digital-to-digital conversion. Power consumption is under 2 watts, drawn entirely from the PoE connection. The adapter auto-discovers on the Dante network upon connection, appears in Dante Controller for routing, and supports AES67 RTP transport for interoperability with non-Dante AES67 systems. Compatible with Dante Domain Manager for enterprise security and management in multi-site or IT-managed installations.
