What is the AUDAC MPX48 paging microphone?
The AUDAC MPX48 is a 4-zone paging microphone station designed for use with the MTX48 4-zone audio matrix. It combines a real glass SurfaceTouch front panel, capacitive zone selection buttons and a tiltable cardioid pipe-neck microphone. Facility teams use it to make zone-based announcements in offices, sports facilities and other commercial buildings running an MTX48 system.
How does the AUDAC MPX48 paging microphone work?

The MPX48 connects to the MTX48 through a fixed 2-meter RJ45 cable, and the run can be extended to a maximum of 300 m (approximately 984 ft) with standard CAT5E or better twisted pair cabling. Power (24 V DC), RS-485 control and differential analog audio all come from the matrix over that cable. The glass front panel has an anti-glare coating, and its eight capacitive, illuminated buttons have no mechanically moving parts. Zone selection and data bus indicators show the current operation mode and bus occupation, while select and clear-all buttons speed up operation. The push-to-talk button must be held during announcements, and an integrated chime plays before each one. The back electret condenser capsule has a cardioid pickup pattern and a 50 Hz – 16 kHz response, and the pipe-neck can be tilted to the desired angle. Multiple paging stations can be cascaded on the priority-based, user-configurable data bus using the ARJ03P junction box. Pair it with the MTX48 4-zone audio matrix to complete the system.
What are the key features of the AUDAC MPX48 paging microphone?

- Integrated chime — A chime tone sounds before each announcement to draw attention.

- Status indicators — Zone and data bus LEDs show the current operating mode and bus occupation.
- Single-cable connection — Power, control and audio run over one RJ45 cable, extendable up to 300 m with CAT5E or better.
