Product Overview
The Atomos Shinobi 7 is a 7-inch 1000-nit HDR field monitor designed for focus pullers, camera assistants, directors, and video village use on film, television, and commercial productions. Accepting 4Kp60 via HDMI and 4Kp30 via SDI, the Shinobi 7 delivers a large-format, full-featured monitoring experience without an internal recorder, making it a cost-effective solution for setups where recording is handled separately or in-camera. Its comprehensive monitoring toolset covers HDR, false color, waveform, vectorscope, and 3D LUT support at a price point accessible for run-and-gun and multi-monitor setups.
Product Description
The Atomos Shinobi 7 delivers a professional monitoring display in a large 7-inch format sized for shared set use, focus pulling from a distance, and video village setups where the image needs to be visible to multiple crew members simultaneously. The 1000-nit IPS touchscreen supports a wide color gamut and accurate HDR rendering in both HDR10 and HLG, allowing the camera department to evaluate footage in the intended display format on set without returning to a color suite.
The Shinobi 7 accepts 4Kp60 from HDMI 2.0 and 4Kp30 from 3G-SDI, with the SDI input converting to HDMI output for signal routing and monitoring at remote positions. A clean HDMI output passes the full signal through to a downstream recorder, switcher, or additional monitor without interruption. The comprehensive monitoring toolset includes custom 3D LUT support (.cube format), Atomos and ARRI false color, waveform, vectorscope, RGB parade, zebra, focus peaking, pixel magnification, frame guides, SMPTE safe areas, and anamorphic de-squeeze for anamorphic lens use.
The Shinobi 7 is calibration-ready via the Atomos Calibrator app with compatible Calibrite probes, ensuring the panel matches reference HDR standards for accurate monitoring decisions across the production. Audio monitoring is available via HDMI-embedded audio with a 3.5mm headphone output. Dual NP-F/L-series batteries power the unit from the rear battery plates for field operation. The unit can also be powered from a DC input for studio or cart-mounted setups. For crews needing a compact companion monitor, the Atomos Shinobi 5" is also available at Creation Networks alongside the full range of Atomos accessories.
