Product Description

Atlona Five-Input Universal Switcher with Wireless Presentation Link - AT-UHD-SW-510W

The Atlona AT-UHD-SW-510W is a full-featured 5×2 multi-format matrix switcher that bridges wired and wireless AV presentation in a single unit. It accepts two HDMI inputs, one DisplayPort input, one USB-C input (with AV and device charging support), and one wireless AV input for iOS, Android, Mac, Chromebook, and Windows devices. Presenters can mirror their screens wirelessly via AirPlay, Google Cast, or Miracast without installing any app, and the SW-510W supports both peer-to-peer Miracast (Wi-Fi Direct) and Miracast over Infrastructure for compatibility with enterprise Wi-Fi environments. The unit includes two built-in Wi-Fi access points — one for AirPlay and Google Cast, and a dedicated second for Miracast — and can also be bridged into a facility LAN or operated in a private, standalone Wi-Fi mode. For security, the SW-510W supports HTTPS, SSH, IEEE 802.1x, WPA2-PSK, AES-128 encryption, randomly generated five-minute PIN codes for iOS/Mac wireless sharing, and a configurable firewall. The matrixed HDMI and HDBaseT outputs can be independently routed to support dual-display environments such as a primary display and a confidence monitor, or a local display and a video conferencing codec simultaneously. The HDBaseT output extends AV, control, and Ethernet up to 330 feet (100 meters). All wired inputs and the local HDMI output support 4K/UHD at 60 Hz with 4:4:4 chroma sampling, HDR10, and Dolby Vision; the HDBaseT output supports 4K/UHD at 60 Hz with 4:2:0. Automatic input selection and automatic display control operate for both wired and wireless sources. A customizable welcome screen can display presenter instructions, wireless connection credentials, and a background image or slideshow. Trigger I/O ports support occupancy sensors such as the AT-OCS-900N for fully automated room control, and a relay output enables triggering of motorized screens, projector lifts, and other room devices.

  • Trigger I/O, Relay, and Occupancy Sensor Support — Integrates with the AT-OCS-900N occupancy sensor and supports motorized screen/projector lift triggering via relay output.
  • Customizable Welcome Screen — Displays presenter instructions, BYOD connection details, and custom background images or a rotating slideshow.
  • Audio De-Embedding and Analog Input — De-embeds stereo audio from any video source to a balanced 5-pin output; also accepts an unbalanced 3.5 mm stereo analog audio input.

Typical Applications

  • Corporate conference rooms and boardrooms requiring both wired and wireless BYOD presenter connectivity
  • University classrooms and auditoriums where instructors need to moderate wireless presentations from student devices
  • Huddle rooms and small to medium meeting spaces requiring under-table installation with automatic switching and display control
  • Video conferencing rooms using matrixed outputs to feed both a local display and a hardware codec simultaneously
  • Presentation spaces with dual displays — primary 4K display and 1080p confidence monitor — via independent matrix outputs
  • Hospitality and event spaces requiring flexible, app-free screen mirroring for any guest device

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Does the AT-UHD-SW-510W require presenters to install an app for wireless screen mirroring?
No. The AT-UHD-SW-510W supports native platform-based wireless screen mirroring via AirPlay (iOS and Mac), Google Cast (Android and Chrome OS), and Miracast (Windows 8.1 and later). No app installation is required on the presenter's device for any of these protocols.
Q: How many wireless devices can be connected simultaneously?
The AT-UHD-SW-510W can manage up to four wirelessly connected devices simultaneously through its moderator mode. An administrator can preview content from all connected devices and select which one is displayed on screen, or remove any device from the session.
Q: What network deployment modes are available for the wireless access points?
Three primary modes are available: Guest mode (SW-510W acts as access point while also connecting to the facility LAN), Private mode (standalone Wi-Fi with no LAN connection), and Bridge mode (access points disabled; presenters authenticate through the facility Wi-Fi network). Additional hybrid modes are documented in the IT Deployment Guide.
Q: Does the USB-C input support USB data transfer?
No. The USB-C input supports AV signals via USB-C Alternate Mode and device charging only. USB data transfer is not supported on this port.
Q: Can the AT-UHD-SW-510W feed a video conferencing system and a display simultaneously?
Yes. The matrixed HDMI and HDBaseT outputs can be independently routed, allowing the SW-510W to send the presentation source to a local display via HDMI while simultaneously feeding a hardware video conferencing codec via the HDBaseT output, or vice versa.
Q: Is the HDBaseT output compatible with all Atlona HDBaseT receivers?
The AT-UHD-SW-510W is designed for use with the AT-UHD-EX-100CE-RX-PSE HDBaseT receiver, as well as the AT-OME-RX11, AT-OME-RX21, and AT-OME-RX31. The AT-HDVS-SC-RX scaling HDBaseT receiver is also compatible.
Q: Does the AT-UHD-SW-510W support HDR content?
Yes for wired connections. HDMI and DisplayPort inputs support HDR10 and Dolby Vision at 60 Hz. HDR is not supported for the HDBaseT output or for wireless AV inputs.
Q: Can the switcher control room devices such as motorized screens or projector lifts?
Yes. The SW-510W includes a relay output (normally open, 48 V @ 1 A, configurable for Toggle or Pulse mode) for triggering motorized screens, projector lifts, and other room control devices. It also supports trigger I/O for occupancy sensing integration with the AT-OCS-900N sensor.
