Product Overview
The Atlona AT-PRO5-101-SC-RX is a 4K/UHD HDBaseT receiver with integrated scaler designed for use with the AT-PRO5-MX810 matrix switcher in large-scale commercial AV distribution systems. Part of the PRO5 Series, this SDVoE 10GbE receiver delivers point-to-point AV extension over copper or fiber optic cable, supporting 4K/60 4:4:4 with HDR and HDCP 2.3 compliance. The AT-PRO5-101-SC-RX is an ideal 4K HDBaseT scaler receiver for lecture halls, hospitality venues, corporate lobbies, and courtrooms requiring multi-zone video distribution with video wall processing capabilities.
Product Description
The Atlona AT-PRO5-101-SC-RX is an AV extension receiver with integrated video processing that uses SDVoE technology over a 10GbE connection to receive ultra-high definition video and audio from the AT-PRO5-MX810 matrix switcher. Supporting 4K/UHD at 60 Hz with 4:4:4 chroma sampling and HDR formats including HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and HLG, the PRO5-101-SC-RX handles HDMI data rates up to 18 Gbps and is HDCP 2.3 compliant. Signal connectivity is provided by an RJ45 port for copper extension up to 330 feet (100 meters) over CAT6a UTP, as well as an SFP+ cage that accepts a compatible fiber optic transceiver module for distances up to 10 kilometers over fiber. When using the RJ45 copper connection, the receiver is powered remotely by the PRO5-MX810 via IEEE 802.3af PoE; when using fiber, local powering via the included AT-PS-48083-C power supply is required. The integrated scaler supports 4K upscaling and downscaling with frame rate conversion, color space conversion, and advanced motion-adaptive deinterlacing for 1080i source signals. Video wall processing for 2x2, 1x3, and 2x4 display arrays is included with 10 configurable presets. Audio de-embedding outputs balanced stereo LPCM audio via a 5-pin captive screw connector for direct interfacing into external audio systems. Multi-channel audio pass-through supports PCM, Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and all major surround formats. Bidirectional RS-232 and IR control pass-through, along with Gigabit Ethernet pass-through, are handled over the same SDVoE link. The receiver is managed from the PRO5-MX810's web GUI or via Atlona Velocity Device Manager for centralized configuration across a facility.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Q: What matrix switcher is required for the AT-PRO5-101-SC-RX?
- The AT-PRO5-101-SC-RX is specifically designed for use with the AT-PRO5-MX810, an 8x10 HDMI matrix switcher with SDVoE 10GbE extension outputs. The MX810 supplies the SDVoE signal and, when using copper cabling, also provides PoE power to the receiver.
- Q: What is the difference between the AT-PRO5-101-SC-RX and the AT-PRO5-101-RX?
- The AT-PRO5-101-SC-RX includes integrated 4K video scaling, video wall processing, and audio de-embedding. The AT-PRO5-101-RX is the non-scaling version and provides AV extension without integrated video processing.
- Q: What fiber optic cable type is required for fiber extension?
- The SFP+ cage accepts compatible fiber optic transceiver modules. For OM3 multimode fiber, the Atlona AT-SFP-PLUS-10GE-SR module supports transmission up to 300 meters (980 feet). Single-mode fiber modules support distances up to 10 kilometers. The fiber module is a separate purchase.
- Q: Can the AT-PRO5-101-SC-RX be used without the AT-PRO5-MX810?
- No. The PRO5-101-SC-RX is designed exclusively as an endpoint receiver for the AT-PRO5-MX810 PRO5 Series system. It receives its SDVoE signal from the matrix switcher and cannot operate as a standalone receiver with other signal sources.
- Q: What video wall configurations does the AT-PRO5-101-SC-RX support?
- The built-in video wall processor supports 2x2 (four displays), 1x3 (three displays in a row), and 2x4 (eight displays) configurations. Ten presets can be saved and recalled for quick configuration changes.
- Q: Does the receiver support 4K HDR content?
- Yes. The AT-PRO5-101-SC-RX supports HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and Hybrid Log-Gamma (HLG) at resolutions up to 4K @ 60 Hz, provided the source, matrix switcher, and display are all HDR-compatible.
- Q: How is the AT-PRO5-101-SC-RX managed and configured?
- The receiver is configured and managed from the AT-PRO5-MX810 matrix switcher's integrated web GUI, or through Atlona Velocity Device Manager software for centralized multi-device management over a LAN, WAN, or VPN.
