The Atlas Sound VTF-157UCN is a flush-mount recessed compression driver loudspeaker with a 15-watt 70.7-volt transformer and DC blocking capacitor, finished in neutral gray. It is part of the patented VT/VTF Series designed for voice and tone distribution in industrial, commercial, and life-safety applications. The VTF-157UCN is UL 1480 Safety Listed and IP56 rated for moisture and dust resistance.

Product Description

The VTF Series uses a high-efficiency compression driver with an integral exponential horn that maximizes acoustic conversion efficiency, reducing the number of units needed to achieve a target sound pressure level and lowering amplification power requirements. At 96.9 dB sensitivity (1W/1m), the VTF-157UCN delivers strong output from minimal amplifier power. The 600 Hz to 5.5 kHz frequency response covers the critical speech intelligibility range for paging, intercom, and alarm systems. Dispersion exceeds 190 degrees at the -6 dB point in the 1 and 2 kHz octave bands, providing broad coverage from recessed ceiling or wall installations. The flush-mount VTF design mounts to standard 4-inch or 4 11/16-inch square back boxes; adapter rings (model AR or MR, ordered separately) are required for 4 11/16-inch boxes. All connections are made via barrier strips. The die-cast construction is water-sealed and withstands vandalism, moisture, corrosion, dust, vibration, and vermin intrusion. The suffix “N” designates neutral gray finish; the “C” suffix indicates the included DC blocking capacitor. Power taps of 15, 8, 4, and 2 watts are available at 70.7 volts.
