Product Overview

The Atlas Sound VTF-152UCN is a flush-mount recessed compression driver loudspeaker with a 15-watt 25-volt transformer and DC blocking capacitor, finished in neutral gray. Part of the patented VT/VTF Series, it is engineered for voice and tone distribution in industrial, institutional, and life-safety systems operating on 25-volt distributed audio circuits. The VTF-152UCN is UL 1480 Safety Listed and IP56 rated for moisture and dust resistance.

Product Description

The VTF-152UCN uses the same high-efficiency compression driver platform as the VTF-157UCN, with the key distinction being the 25-volt transformer rather than 70.7 volts. This makes it directly compatible with 25-volt intercom, paging, and emergency notification amplifiers commonly found in older institutional installations, correctional facilities, healthcare systems, and military applications. At 96.9 dB sensitivity (1W/1m), the driver delivers strong output while minimizing amplification demands. The integral exponential horn provides dispersion exceeding 190 degrees at the -6 dB point in the 1 and 2 kHz octave bands, ensuring broad coverage in corridor, industrial, and institutional ceiling and wall applications. The flush recessed VTF mount uses standard 4-inch or 4 11/16-inch square back boxes, with the MR adapter ring required for the larger box size (ordered separately). Die-cast construction is water-sealed against moisture, dust, corrosion, vibration, and vermin. Barrier strip termination is standard. Power taps of 2, 4, 8, and 15 watts at 25 volts are selectable. The DC blocking capacitor (suffix “C”) is included for supervised circuit applications.
