The VPCS-2GPB-2 uses a 2 1/2-inch diameter loudspeaker with a phenolic resin-impregnated, moisture-proof cloth cone that delivers clear voice transmission across the 350 Hz to 4,500 Hz speech range. The two-piece die-cast baffle system protects the loudspeaker assembly from intentional vandalism, and the 11-gauge stainless steel face plate resists physical damage in high-traffic or unsupervised locations. The 25-volt transformer provides 1/4, 1/2, 1, and 2 watt taps for compatibility with distributed intercom and paging amplifiers. The push-button call switch uses a heavy-duty momentary action mechanism rated at 3A/120VAC, built from nickel-plated brass and sealed to IP65 for moisture resistance. The face plate mounts standard 2- and 3-gang electrical back boxes using 6-32 counter-sunk screws. Shallow 2 1/8-inch depth fits in tight wall cavities. Unit design allows quick access to internal components for field service. Lead wires are 5 inches in length.
