Product Overview
The Atlas Sound VPCS-2G-2 is a vandal-proof intercom station equipped with a 2.5-inch cone loudspeaker and a 25V transformer with selectable 1/4, 1/2, 1, and 2-watt taps. Designed for commercial paging and intercom applications, it mounts in standard 2- or 3-gang electrical back boxes at a shallow 2-1/8-inch depth. The rugged 11-gauge stainless steel face plate and two-piece die-cast baffle system protect the loudspeaker assembly against physical abuse in public-facing installations. BAA and TAA compliant.
Product Description
The VPCS-2G-2 delivers clear voice and signal reproduction through a moisture-resistant 2.5-inch diameter phenolic resin impregnated cone loudspeaker optimized for speech intelligibility in the 350Hz to 4500Hz range. The 25V transformer provides installer flexibility with four selectable wattage taps, allowing the station to integrate into standard 25V distributed paging systems. Two die-cast baffles protect the driver assembly from vandalism in lobbies, hallways, correctional facilities, schools, and other high-traffic environments. The shallow 54mm depth facilitates installation into standard 2- and 3-gang electrical boxes found in most commercial construction. Lead wires are 5 inches in length. The stainless steel face plate uses countersunk 6-32 mounting screws and mounts to standard E.O. back boxes. The unit has an IP44 rating for moisture resistance. Shipping weight is 1.58 lbs. Warranted for 60 months from purchase.
