Product Description
The VP161A-R4 delivers tamper-resistant speaker protection for 4" cone drivers in demanding commercial and institutional environments. The cast aluminum frame is formed from a self-aging alloy with a tensile strength of 44,000 P.S.I., providing long-lasting resistance to impact and deliberate vandalism. A perforated cold-rolled steel (CRS) stud-mounting plate reinforces the grille structure and anchors the cone speaker driver securely in position. The installation screws are heat-treated alloy, countersunk into the baffle to prevent easy removal; a special wrench is included to maintain controlled access. A neoprene gasket between the baffle and mounting surface provides an acoustic seal that reduces sound leakage and improves audio clarity. The perforated grille has been updated to stainless steel construction for improved corrosion resistance in humid or outdoor-adjacent environments. Stainless steel studs hold the speaker securely within the frame. The baffle is finished in textured white epoxy for a neutral, institutional appearance.
