Product Description
The VP161A-APF provides a secure housing for APF re-entrant horn loudspeakers in environments where speaker security is critical. The cast aluminum frame is manufactured from a special self-aging alloy with a tensile strength of 44,000 P.S.I., providing a rigid structure that resists deformation under impact. A perforated cold-rolled steel (CRS) stud-mounting plate reinforces the grille assembly and secures the loudspeaker driver in place. Baffle installation hardware uses heat-treated alloy screws that are countersunk within the frame—an included special wrench is required for removal, preventing unauthorized tampering. A neoprene gasket at the mounting interface provides an acoustic seal that reduces sound leakage and improves audio performance. The grille material has been upgraded to stainless steel perforated construction for improved resistance to corrosion in humid or outdoor-adjacent environments. Stainless steel studs hold the speaker assembly securely inside the baffle frame. The textured white epoxy finish provides a clean, institutional appearance suitable for healthcare, government, and transportation installations. The VP161A-APF may be installed flush or surface-mounted, and is rated for both indoor and outdoor use. BAA and TAA compliant for government and federally funded construction projects.
