The VP14MB combines a quality 8-inch loudspeaker driver with a pre-assembled 25V/70.7V line transformer, all housed within a slant-face vandal resistant enclosure finished in neutral white. The 9.5-degree sloped baffle directs audio toward listeners rather than straight down, improving speech intelligibility across the coverage area. The protective labyrinth screen shields the cone assembly against physical contact without significantly impacting acoustic performance. A 10-ounce ceramic magnet provides the driving force for the speaker, producing consistent output across a 50Hz to 15kHz frequency range with 105-degree dispersion. The transformer includes five power taps (0.25W, 0.5W, 1W, 2W, and 4W) terminated to a euro-style connector block with three additional empty blocks, allowing through-connection of call switches or intercom stations without the need for wire nuts.
